Sean Connery's 1964 Aston Martin DB5 has been sold!

The Aston Martin DB5 may not be James Bond's first vehicle, but it's certainly the most iconic. We first saw the model, who appeared in 8 films of the British super agent, in the films played by the legendary actor Sean Connery, whom we lost in 2020. Connery and DB5, who have become an iconic duo since then, crossed once again in the following years.

The 1964 model Aston Martin DB5, which remained in Connery's private garage until his death in 2020, got its new owner last weekend. All proceeds from the model, which sold for $2,425,000 at an auction during Monterey Auto Week, will go to the charity founded by Sean Connery.

Having the chance to purchase one of the most important models in history, this unnamed new driver will also have the chance to take to the track with Formula 1 champion Jackie Stewart. Since Stewart and Connery are long-time friends, the famous pilot found such a gift appropriate.

The iconic car, which first appeared in Goldfinger in 1964, was purchased in 2018. It is also stated that the model, which retains its original parts, is in very good condition. However, Connery did not neglect to paint the vehicle in Snow Shadow Gray color, which is identified with the movies, after he bought it.

According to the statement, Connery kept the DB5 in his private garage in Switzerland. The actor, who is stated to love to travel Europe with this model, died in October 2020 at the age of 90.
